Chloe Pritchard is a textile artist and graduate of Arts University Bournemouth’s BA (Hons) Textile Design course. Alongside her work as a sewing machinist, she remains deeply engaged in her creative practice, exploring mixed-media projects that bring her joy and fulfilment.

Her craft is an extension of her identity, guiding her toward whatever medium inspires her most, whether working with fabric, lino, watercolour, sketching, or air-dry clay. As she continues her journey of artistic growth, she looks forward to expanding her practice further in 2025.

Chloe Pritchard

As a child Chloe Pritchard moved around a lot: Ipswich, Portsmouth, Bristol, Charmouth, and then Lyme Regis, where she lived for 10 years. Even after moving away in 2021, Lyme Regis is still the place she calls home and where she made many of her core memories. Where she went to her seventh school, had her first kiss and made life-long friends. Took part in after-school swims, paddleboarding, group hangouts, BBQs, bonfires and birthdays. She has memories of her childhood home, getting her university acceptance letter, and her first true heartbreak. She made an unbreakable bond with her mum during the pandemic when they both suffered from COVID and cuddled up in her mum’s bed as they recovered. The good, the bad, the ugly - it was all here in the place Chloe feels will be her forever home, however far she moves.

Home Town is inspired by Chloe’s first date with her now partner of 4 years. Their walk to the end of the Cobb (lower side) with the moon shining so bright on the clear night that they didn't need a torch to see – a truly magical evening.

The piece has a two-sided meaning: the heart symbolising the love she shares with her partner and that Lyme will forever have her heart. Her chosen home town.
