Martin Roberts is a multi-media artist inspired by nature, music, history, subverting pop-culture, time travel and absurdism. One half of avant-garde indie band PowderedCows, his “bread n butter” is commissions of paper-crafted birds, however he really enjoys collaging, video art, and street art.

In the hit 90s sci-fi TV show The X-Files, the character of FBI agent Fox Mulder had a poster in his office with a classic hubcap shaped UFO hovering above a tree line, emblazoned with the show’s motto “I Want To Believe”. I Want To Go Home reimagines this scene, depicting the UFO having crash landed in the trees. The local AA service has turned up to jump start the UFO and the silver spacemen are telling them that, having accidentally crashed here and had a chance to see what humans have done to their planet, on reflection their journey was a mistake and they want to go home.
