Sarah Appleton is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dorset. She graduated in 2016 with a BA (Hons) in Textile Design from Arts University Bournemouth, where she completed an internship at the prestigious Hand & Lock in London. Since then, she has exhibited her work across the UK, including London, North Wales, Birmingham, Hampshire, and Dorset. She has also collaborated on projects with the New Carnival Company on the Isle of Wight, Devizes Outdoor Celebratory Arts, Kingston Lacy, and Walford Mill Crafts.

Sarah’s practice is driven by a love of diverse creative processes, from screen and lino printing to hand drawing, mark-making, digital printing, fabric manipulation, and crochet. Inspired by everything from the deep sea to outer space, and all that lies between, her work is a continual exploration of her place, identity, and belonging in the world.
